Boreas Pass Trip

September 2003
It was a beautiful fall day with gorgeous Aspen leaves as we headed out of Breckenridge and up Boreas Pass. The road is an easy one with some narrow curves and some drop offs. It is somewhat rocky on the Breckenridge side, but graded on the other side. We were accompanied in our jeep by a large vintage Chevy convertible, driven by non other than our own Bill Boitano. We had a fun trip with breath taking scenery and a delicious lunch at the Como Depot restaurant. Some headed toward Tiny Town after lunch and a stop in the Como cemetery where graves from the early 1800's can be found. Others headed home with a sense of fulfillment as the aspens, in full golden color, were as rewarding as promised.

Note: This trip was suppose to be to Mt. Lincoln, but the 4WD road was snow packed.
