Memorial Day Fun Day 2006

The Memorial Day Picnic was a great success! We had approximately 45 people in attendance and there was lots of good food brought and shared. The weather was cool enough for all to enjoy the outdoor activities.

I want to thank Greg Beery and John Howell who helped stake out the courses on Saturday for the Memorial Day events. During the Memorial Day picnic and the Memorial Day events we had lots of help from all the club members. Thanks to Bill, Roberta, and Kim Boitano for the hot dogs and buffalo burgers, as well as cooking them up. Thanks to Ray, Wanda, and Andrew Comeau for bringing the big shade.

Following is a list of the winners, with their winning times, in the various contests.

RINGS:
  • 1st Place, time 1:50:18, Andrew Comeau and Cameron
  • 2nd Place, time 1:54:21, Ray & Wanda Comeau
  • 3rd Place, time 2:01:78, John & Kathy Howell

BALL ON HOOD:
  • 1st Place, time 1:51:77, Glenn Gilbert and Gina
  • 2nd Place, time 2:04:00, James Massie & Ben Conover
  • 3rd Place, time 2:04:83, Patrick & Patricia Davis

BLINDFOLD RACE:
  • 1st Place, time 1:31:86, James Massie & Ben Conover
  • 2nd Place, time 1:59:62, Ray & Wanda Comeau
  • 3rd Place, time 2:05:02, Killian & Erin Kilton





The picnic went off very well and the extra help in getting everything cleaned up at the end was appreciated, and I believe everyone had a good time.
